The last days before 2024 ended I was scrolling through social media and saw that certain creator I follow because I like his posts about linguistics, tea, and books, posted a reading challenge, and I don't know why but I thought: "why not try?"
The challenge is very simple, there are 12 prompts, one for each month of the year:
I don't know if I'm going to be able to finish the challenge, because I suck at challenges. I ended up dropping the End of the Year Drama Challenge 2024 I started on fedi, for example. But I really want to try. Maybe another challenge will be not feeling guilty if I don't finish it, ha: Don't beat yourself up over things no one else cares about challenge, and anyone can join me whenever they want.
I'm wondering if I should say the name of the creator or link to his profile but I'm not sure 🤔.
The challenge is very simple, there are 12 prompts, one for each month of the year:
- January: a book by an author from a country far from yours
- February: a book that someone dear to you chose for you
- March: a book with your favorite color on the cover
- April: a book you would have liked to read as a child
- May: a book adapted from other media
- June: a book by an lgbtqia author
- July: a book someone you admire liked
- August: a book that someone recommended on the internet
- September: a book by an author from your country
- October: a book that has to do with language/languages
- November: a fantasy or science fiction novel
- December: whatever book you want
I don't know if I'm going to be able to finish the challenge, because I suck at challenges. I ended up dropping the End of the Year Drama Challenge 2024 I started on fedi, for example. Date: 2025-01-17 01:45 am (UTC)I have one book lined up for later this year, but it fits January's theme perfectly! This Is Going to Hurt by Adam Kay. The country is about 15 hours away from mine by plane ðŸ¤
I will report back with February's book later in the month.
